Forecasting a great start to summer

The last bits of a front that's moving east across the region could still fire up a few showers this morning west of the Cascades and that looks like it will be it for moisture for this weekend. So, we'll start out the summer season with it actually feeling like summer-- which doesn't always happen here in the NW.

TODAY looks pretty nice. A few morning showers and gradual clearing as we get later into the day. High temps about 65-70 for Seattle/Puget Sound and about 70-75 for SW Washington as you head down towards Portland.

SATURDAY starts out with some clouds, but beautiful into the afternoon. Summer officially begins in the Pacific Time Zone at 3:51 am. It will feel like solstice weather this year. Warmer with temps 70-80 for much of the I-5 corridor.

SUNDAY might have a bit more cloud cover, but still dry. Highs in the low 80s for Portland and getting close to 80 for Seattle/Puget Sound. to near 80 degrees.

NEXT WEEK should be pretty nice. A pattern of morning clouds and afternoon sunshine should hold for the first part of the week. HIghs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. By the end of the week, we might see more clouds with a chance for some coastal and mountains showers towards the end of the week.
