Police: Suspect dead, officer hurt in Port Orchard shooting

PORT ORCHARD -- A suspect is dead after an officer-involved shooting Thursday evening in Port Orchard. Officials told Q13 FOX News a Port Orchard police officer suffered minor injuries.
Police said this happened shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Village Way and Village Lane SE in Port Orchard.
According to the Kitsap Sun, the injured officer remained in a hospital Thursday night. A crowd in front of the Rendezvous Tavern was shocked following the shooting, the Sun reported.
Not other details were immediately available.
The Kitsap County Sheriff's Office will be handling the investigation.
