'I don't want to give up hope that everything I owned is now gone'

SEATTLE -- One new college graduate became the victim of car thieves, but they took more than just his ride. Now, he's doing his own homework to get crooks off the streets.

"All of the camera equipment, all of my clothes, everything that I have ever owned for the last five years was in there," said car theft victim Matt Schueller.

Schueller just graduated from Seattle Pacific University. After the tragic shooting on campus June 5th, Schueller says he is just happy to be back home in Portland.

But all of his belongings, including his video equipment, everything he owns didn't make the trip.

Seattle police say Matt's car was stolen on Tuesday from 15th Avenue West while he was at a nearby coffee shop.

A motivational speaker for the LGBT community on YouTube, Schueller has more than 40,000 followers.

"I don't want to give up hope that everything I owned is now gone," Schueller said.

The physiology graduate took it upon himself to investigate. Using the dates, times and locations of the charges run up on his debit card, he gathered surveillance photos from one of the stores.

Schueller is convinced the two men in the surveillance photos are the suspects, but Q13 FOX News blurred their faces because police have not yet confirmed their identities.

"Why would you do that to somebody? I just doesn't make sense," he said.

If you have any information about the suspects or recognize the car or personal belongings, call Seattle police.
