U-S-A! U-S-A! Sounders FC invites fans to World Cup viewing parties
SEATTLE -- Want to join with other soccer fans to watch live viewing parties of the U.S. National Team's three group stage matches in the World Cup?
Seattle Sounders FC has joined with The American Outlaws, the official supporters group of U.S. Soccer, for live viewing parties of the U.S. National Team's three group stage matches.
The events will be held at The Atlantic Crossing Pub and Fuel Sports Eats and Beats and will feature Sounders FC player appearances and a raffle with prize giveaways.
Two additional viewing parties will be held at Doyle's Public House in Tacoma, including the opening match for the USMNT against Ghana on Monday and the Uruguay-England match on Thursday.
Sounders FC midfielder Lamar Neagle will be at the Atlantic Crossing Pub for the USA-Ghana match. Goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann and former Sounders FC player Roger Levesque will be at Doyle's for Monday's event, the team announced.
The USMNT kicks off its 2014 World Cup on Monday in Natal, Brazil. Sounders FC forward Clint Dempsey is the captain of the national team while defender DeAndre Yedlin is the first MLS Homegrown Player named to the USA World Cup roster.
