REDMOND, Wash. -- A 28-year-old man was stabbed multiple times during an attempted robbery in Redmond and was rushed to Harborview Medical Center Friday, the Redmond Police Department said.

He was listed in stable condition, police said.

Three men, all 20 years old and believed to be homeless, were taken into custody for investigation of felony assault and robbery.  Police said the three are suspected of having lured the victim onto a trail so they could rob him.

"The victim indicated that he met the suspects at another location and walked with them to the area of the trail, which runs alongside the Sammamish River," a police statement said. "The victim was then attacked with a blade and possible a stun gun as well. He was able to flee on foot and find help."

The stabbing occurred at 8600 154th Avenue NE in Redmond, police said.
