HOQUIAM — Losing your boat is not the best way to start out the morning.
A Hoqium boat broke free from it’s mooring at a nearby dock and got stuck against the Riverside Bridge this morning in Hoquiam, Washington State Patrol Trooper Russ Winger said.
According to Winger, the boat broke free sometime before 7 a.m. Luckily, other boat owners were able to grab the large boat and pull it from the bridge and back to the dock.
The bridge suffered no damage, Winger said. The boat also appeared to be fine, though it would likely need a new mooring line.
