SEATTLE -- Running back Marshawn Lynch "is expected" skip the Seahawks mandatory minicamp next week because he is unhappy with his contract, according to media reports Wednesday.

Terry Blount of ESPN.com, citing a "source close to the situation" wrote: "It's very, very unlikely that Lynch will be there. He wants the Seahawks to renegotiate his current contract and provide him with more up-front money."

Lynch has made no comment.

NFL.com said Lynch is set to make $5 million in base salary this season and $5.5 million in 2015. He also has $500,000 this season in roster bonuses and $2 million in 2015 bonus money.

If Lynch skips the three-day minicamp that begins Tuesday, it will cost him $70,000 in fines, ESPN.com said.

The Seahawks acquired Lynch from Buffalo in 2010. He has rushed for over 1,000 yards each of the last three seasons.
