Report: FBI found child porn on Josh Powell's computer

Josh Powell

SEATTLE -- FBI investigators found child pornography on Josh Powell's computer more than a year before he killed his children and himself, the Salt Lake Tribune reported.

According to the newspaper, the FBI had two open investigations into Powell when he died -- one into the disappearance of his wife Susan and another for suspected possession of child pornography.

Anne Bremner, the attorney for Susan Powell's parents, told the Tribune the family was never told the FBI was investigating Josh for child porn.

The agency "never would have let him have those kids" if they had known about the investigation, Bremner told the Tribune.

Josh Powell, who had visitation with his sons, locked out a state worker on February 5th, 2012 and started a fire that killed him and his two sons.

Susan Powell disappeared in December of 2009 and was never found.
