SEATTLE — Seattle is known as a gay friendly city, but crime statistics tell another story.

Seattle has the third-highest crime-rate against members of the gay community when compared to other large cities, according to FBI data obtained by the Seattle Times.

For every 100,000 people in 2011, there were three hate crimes against gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender people.

The Time reports the number jumped to 19 in 2012 and reached 19 again last year.

The only cities with higher rates were Washington, D.C. and Memphis, Tennessee.

Something is fishy in Bangkok, this doesn't make any sense at all to me. Could it be the LGBT, or whatever want to politicize this as well like they've done with the marriage issue? Crime is crime. In the famous words of a very famous woman. "At this point what difference does it make?" It's still a crime to kill someone or hurt someone without cause.

Exactly. And the ones that aren't hoaxes are disproportionately committed by blacks, Seattle's other favorite sanctified group.

I just get tired of the constant "Oh look at us " I'm glad the hetero's like myself are confident in their way of life and dont need to shove their lifestyle down others throats.

make it important. More and more people ought to read
this and understand this side of the story.
It’s surprising you’re not more popular because you surely possess the gift.
