KING COUNTY -- Authorities are searching for a driver accused of causing a sheriff's patrol car to hit a barrier and roll

Officials say the suspect was traveling the wrong way in the eastbound lanes of Highway 522 toward Woodinville.

According to the King County Sheriff's Office, the sergeant saw a pickup heading straight toward him, so he swerved -- causing the patrol car to strike a barrier and roll.

Officials said the sergeant suffered a hand injury and was treated at Evergreen Hospital. He was released later that morning.

Now, police are looking for the suspect's vehicle -- described as a burgundy or silver pickup truck.

A spokesperson for the sheriff's office said the truck may be hard to spot because it was not damaged.
