MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, Wash – Seattle Police sources tell Q13FOX News the 26 year old man believed to be the gunman in the fatal shooting at Seattle Pacific University toured the school week’s before the crime.

The same sources said they believe the man expected to die after his shooting spree concluded.

Police said the man was armed with a shotgun and a knife.

The man was arrested at SPU after a student building monitor pepper-sprayed him and held him down with the help of others.

Assistant Chief Paul McDonagh said the 26 year old was not a student at SPU.

Police said the man was being held at police headquarters.

“It appears that the suspect acted alone," said McDonagh.

Investigators arrived to search the man’s home in Mountlake Terrace Thursday evening in the hopes of finding evidence for prosecutors.
