In the movie Woody the toy cowboy gets lost and he and fellow astronaut toy Buzz have to find their way to their little boy named Andy.
Now someone named Harriet Scott has tweeted a photo of a Woody doll saying she found him on the side of a highway outside London and she wants to get him home.
The tweet, with the hashtag #getwoodyhome has been retweeted more than 5-thousand times in just a few hours.
Now a kid named Liam Kenny has replied to the tweet claiming the Woody doll was his as a small child.
In subsequent tweets Liam says he hasn’t seen his toy in nearly a decade
Now Harriett and Liam have connected over twitter and are exchanging information to see if all this social media magic really will #getwoodyhome.
It is important to point out that Harriet Scott’s twitter account identifies herself this way ‘Turning stats into stories. Creating DAILY headlines for the UK’s biggest brands and PR agencies…’ and Liam’s Twitter bio identifies him as ‘#the joker.’
How will this play out? As a giant publicity stunt for something? As a hoax? Or maybe, just maybe as a real life Toy Story. We’ll have to wait and see!
