Police: Missing Mason County man heard voices in his head
LILLIWAUP, Wash. — Police are looking for a mentally ill Mason County man who disappeared Tuesday in an apparent attempt to go to Milwaukee and have a “face-to-face” with the director of the FBI, his family said.
Steven Daniel Lawrence, 41, was last seen by his family members around 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at his residence in the 100 block of N. Jorsted Creek Road in Lilliwaup. Lawrence has long battled voices in his head, police said, and left a note to his family saying he is “not committing suicide” and was traveling to Milwaukee to have a face-to-face with the director of the FBI.
He left his home on foot, took $150 cash, some food and is possibly carrying a machete, police said.
Lawrence is a white male, 5’9″ and 175 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue t-shirt and a black Carhartt jacket.
