RENTON, Wash. — The Seattle Seahawks confirmed that strong-side linebacker Bruce Irvin underwent hip surgery on Monday.
No other details were provided, but Irvin tweeted that he expects to be back for training camp.
If Irvin is not available, Super Bowl Most Valuable Player Malcolm Smith likely will join the starting lineup with linebackers Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright.
