USGS confirms 2.6 magnitude earthquake near Seabeck

SEATTLE -- The United States Geological Society confirmed a 2.6 magnitude earthquake Sunday morning.

Scientists report the epicenter was about 14 miles WNW of Seabeck, Washington. That is about 24 miles WNW of Bremerton.

The earthquake was 25.6 miles deep. It happened at 2:40 a.m. PDT.
