Wanted bank robber waits for woman with child to finish her business -- then strikes

mariner 2WANTED IN RENTON -- If you can call Crime Stoppers and tell Renton police who this bank-robbing Mariners fan is -- it's you who will score big -- a guaranteed $1,000 cash reward. Surveillance video shows him first wandering around and smoking a cigarette outside the Safeway in downtown Renton last week. After a couple minutes, he heads in and scopes-out the situation from across the Alaska Federal Credit Union. He waits for a woman who has a young child with her to finish up with the teller -- you can see her holding the kid's hand in the video as they leave -- and then he strikes. "It was middle of the day and he simply walked right in, approached the counter, and demanded the money and just walked right out of the store,” says Renton Det. Sgt. Dan Figaro. “Pretty brazen. Bank robbery is a serious crime. We'd like to arrest this person and put him in jail." Detectives describe him as Asian and wearing glasses and a Seattle Mariners baseball hat.
