Police: Driver flees after hitting woman with car in Seattle crosswalk
SEATTLE -- A woman was hit by a car in a crosswalk late Friday night, according to police.
A Honda Accord was travelling east along Virginia Street at 2nd Avenue when the car struck the pedestrian, Seattle police say.
Investigators say the car stopped for a moment, then drove off without helping the pedestrian.
The 60-year-old suffered serious non life-threatening injuries.
Officers tracked the car to the registered owners address and impounded the vehicle for traffic collision investigators.
Detectives are asking anyone who witnessed the collision to call police.
