GRAYLAND, Wash — The carcass of a large whale washed ashore earlier this week on the beach near Grayland Washington.

Pat Muhlhauser snapped a photo and shared it with The Daily World in Aberdeen.

The whale appears to be a humpback.  The average mature male humpback whale can weigh between 35 and 50 tons.

It is unclear how this whale died or what may be done to remove it from the beach.
