SEATTLE- Aaaaaand, there goes the heat. Yesterday only one record heat temperature west of the Cascades: Bellingham hit 80, the old record was 79 set back in 1958. While no records fell for Seattle, the three day string of 80 plus temperatures is something we haven't had since last August. So, the second May mini-heat wave might now in the record books- but the good news is that today still looks great.

A nice mix of clouds and sun for the first part of this FRIDAY. The afternoon has increasing clouds. High temperatures cooling off to near 70 for Seattle/Puget Sound. Tonight looks mostly cloudy with overnight lows in the 50s.

SATURDAY has some showers, though most of them look to pop into the afternoon. High temps cooler still. 60-65 for most places west of the Cascades.

SUNDAY looks wetter than Saturday. Light rain at times. Temps in the 60s. I wish I had better news for the the second half of the weekend.

NEXT WEEK: Monday has some scattered showers and sunbreaks, highs in the 60s. Tuesday we start to dry out with high temps warming into the upper 60s. Wednesday and Thursday look very pleasant. At this point both days are trending dry with temps back around 70 degrees.
