UPDATE: Man stabbed after argument about spot in lunch line

SEATTLE – A man was rushed to the hospital Thursday afternoon after being stabbed at the Union Gospel Mission.

According to Seattle police, two men began arguing about their place in the lunch line just before noon.

The 55-year-old suspect eventually pulled out a knife and stabbed another man in the stomach, police said. Officers arrested the suspect and booked him into King County Jail.

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition.

The mission is in the 300 block of 2nd Ave in downtown Seattle.
