SEATTLE — A 13-year-old boy was arrested near Eckstein Middle School after he stole a loaded gun from his grandmother’s house Wednesday, police said.

A woman called police about 9:30 a.m. to report that her grandson had stolen the loaded antique German Luger and left the house.

Eckstein Middle School was placed on lockdown as a precaution, and officers located the teen a few minutes later nearby, police said.

The boy was booked into the King County Youth Service Center for investigation of theft.

  • The World is Ending

The sad thing is now a beautiful antique gun will most likely be destroyed, but it looks like it may have been on display, so if it would haven secured or disabled (without damaging it which is easy) then there wouldn't have been a problem.

Given where he got it from it may not have been secured just becAuse children used to have some respect. However it should not have been loaded. I hope that the Seattle police donate it to a museum
Or to the nRA gun museum.
