Police: Man fatally shot in Seattle's Central District

Auburn Triple MurderSeattle Police need your help to help find whoever shot and killed a 24-year old man Saturday morning in Seattle's Central District neighborhood.   Seattle Police received a flood of 911 calls around 2:30 a.m. for reports of 'shots fired'.  When Officers and Gang Unit detectives arrived they found one male laying on the sidewalk in the 2200 block of East Union Street with a gunshot wound to the chest, police said.

Seattle Fire Department Medics transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.

Seattle Police searched the street and nearby sidewalks and were able to located shell casings.   Seattle Police CSI processed the shell casings as evidence.  Later the shell casings will be used for forensic analysis.
