Rain will be heavy at times through tomorrow night

storm drainSEATTLE — A couple of systems will be traveling through Western Washington over the next couple of days, generating rain for most of the area.

Tonight, we will see showers increase ahead of a warm front. That front will generate rain, some heavy at times, through tomorrow night. By Friday, a weak ridge of high pressure builds into the area, allowing for some clearing that day. I will call for only a few scattered showers Friday through Easter Sunday with highs near 60 degrees.

A flood warning remains in effect for the North Fork of the Stillaguamish River.

Current stage is just under 4 feet, but is expected to rise to 9 feet tomorrow. This will drop again by tomorrow night, but due to rain will make recovery efforts difficult. 1”-2” of rain is expected in the Arlington area tomorrow.
