Will Rodney Tom’s retirement lead to change in state Senate control?

SEATTLE — State Senate Majority Leader Rodney Tom, a conservative Democrat from Medina who voted with Republicans to give the GOP effective control of the Senate, announced Monday he was not going to seek re-election. Political analyst C.R. Douglas discusses his decision and how this might affect which political party controls the Senate in the next session.
