Man fatally shot in downtown Seattle

SEATTLE - Seattle Police homicide detectives are investigating an early morning fatal shooting in downtown Seattle.  Detective Renee Witt said that two men were arguing near the corner of 5th Avenue and Olive Way around 2 a.m. Sunday.  According to a witness, one of the men reportedly pulled out a gun and shot the other man.

When Seattle Fire Department crews and Seattle Police officers arrived they found the victim deceased, Witt said.  Police describe the shooter as a light skin black man, with short curly afro hair, approximately 5 feet 11 inches, thin build, in his 20s.  The suspect was wearing a red sweatshirt and jeans.   The victim is reportedly a 47-year-old man, Witt said.
