Idaho has more Obamacare enrollees than Washington?

SEATTLE - A new report said Washington is among the states with the most health care insurance signups under the government's new Affordable Care Act.

PillsThe Seattle Times cited data by Kaiser Permanente, which said in Washington, 21.2 percent of probable health exchange enrollees had purchased plans through Healthplanfinder. That was compared to 15 percent nationally.

About 800,000 people in Washington have purchased insurance or enrolled in Medicaid through the new system.

Washington's enrollment rate is topped by only five other states, The Times reported. Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut, California and Idaho currently lead the nation.

The deadline to buy insurance through a government program is March 31. Plans that are purchased by March 23 will kick in on April 1. Those purchased after that will begin May 1.
