Forecast: Wet and windy this weekend

SEATTLE -- There will be two storm systems blowing through Western Washington this weekend. The first one will deliver high winds on the coast and breezy conditions across Puget Sound.

In fact, there is a high-wind watch in effect for the coast until Saturday night as winds could be between 25 and 40 mph, with gusts up to 60 mph. Puget Sound will likely see a wind advisory issued Saturday when winds are expected to be between 20 and 30mph on average.

Heavy rain at times will also increase Saturday afternoon and evening ahead of system number one. The second one blows through on Sunday with similar effects.

There is also a winter-storm watch for the mountains above 4,500 feet through Saturday night. About 12 to 18 inches of snow is likely during that time.

Much of next week will see scattered showers and sun breaks.
