Space Needle to New Jersey: 12th Man Flag headed to the East Coast

SEATTLE- Legendary Sonics coach Lenny Wilkens raised the 12th man flag on top of the Space Needle Wednesday morning.

The 25x35 foot flag will fly over the city until about 12:30 Wednesday afternoon. At that point, crews will take down the flag so fans can sign it before it heads off to New Jersey.

Fans can sign the flag at the Seattle Center from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.

The official send off for the flag is this afternoon at 4:30 p.m.

The flag will visit several spots in New York and New Jersey before being presented to the team on Saturday.  You can follow the journey on Facebook.
