Man hit and killed by car while fleeing Everett casino

EVERETT -- A man is dead after he was hit while fleeing an Everett casino Thursday night.

Washington State Patrol deputies say 30-year old Dahai Guan of Federal Way was attempting to leave the Royal Casino, in the 13000 block of State Route 99, with some cards and chips as employees attempted to restrain him.

Guan was able to get away from the employees and ran out into the southbound lanes of the road.  Several cars were able to avoid hitting him before he was struck by a car driven by a 37-year old man from Lynnwood.

Guan was taken to Harborview where he died several hours later.

Deputies say the driver of the car was cooperative and showed no signs of impairment.
