TUCSON, Ariz. — The Washington State Cougars scored only 25 points against the Arizona Wildcats Thursday night — and that was in basketball.
The Cougs lost, 60-25, in its Pac-12 opener against the nation’s No. 1-ranked team. It was the fewest points ever scored in the University of Arizona’s McHale Center.
Washington State’s leading scorer was Junior Longrus with just six points on 2 of 6 shooting.
Arizona was led by 11 points from Kaleb Tarczewski, the only player in double figures. The Wildcats moved to 14-0 with the win.
The Cougs play Arizona State on Saturday.
