Pretty good weather for New Year's Eve in Seattle

SEATTLE -- Generally dry weather continues. Monday will be mostly dry with some morning fog and mist. Tuesday there will be showers for the first half but it looks dry and mild for the midnight hour and New Year’s Eve celebrations. The temperature at midnight should be around 44 degrees. Not bad.

January 1st, 2014 looks pretty good. Enjoy. Thursday looks pretty good but as we head into Friday it will be a little gusty and wet.

The first weekend of 2014 looks mostly dry. A few notes about 2013: It will go down as a dry year. 16 less inches than 2012. That is impressive. In fact, December only had about 33% of its normal rainfall. (Just ask the ski resorts about how dry it has been).

On another fun note, we have traveled more than 585 million miles around the sun this year at a rate of 67,000 miles per hour.
