Missing Issaquah man, Alzheimer’s patient

Issaquah Missing Man Joseph DouretISSAQUAH – Police need your help trying to located a missing Issaquah man who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease.  Joseph H. Douret is an 84-year-old man who was reported missing from his home on Saturday, police said.  Douret’s wife reported him missing around 5:30pm; the couple lives near the intersection of Mountain Park Blvd SW and West Sunset Way.

Police said that Douret had left his home to buy dinner at a nearby store.  He’s described as a white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 135 ounds with black and gray hair, and brown eyes.  Douret was last seen wearing a gray jacket, black pants, and brown shoes.

Douret may be driving a green 1999 Chevrolet Malibu with Washington license plate 803-XDY, police said.  Anyone who sees him should call the police.

    Why is it all of these people that have Dementia or Alzheimers that end up "missing" are driving in cars. What the hell is wrong with the people that know they have this condition and are not taking away there access to vehicles.
