Catching the bus in downtown Seattle just got easier

SEATTLE - Catching a bus in downtown Seattle is getting easier.

King County Metro and the Seattle Department of Transportation unveiled Third Avenue's first transit information kiosk on Wednesday.

The electronic kiosks will display real-time arrival times and destination of all buses with scheduled stops at the Third Avenue kiosk locations.

Officials hope the kiosks will make catching the bus downtown more convenient and help speed boarding on RapidRide buses.

The first kiosk is located at the Third Avenue and Pike Street bus stop.  Eight other kiosks will be installed at other Third Avenue bus stops.

The kiosks are part of a partnership between Metro, SDOT and the Federal Transit Administration to improve travel and access through the downtown core.
