SEATTLE — Washington State University football fans undoubtedly got a little sticker shock when they priced an airline ticket to their team’s first bowl game in ten years. Now, the university is talking about chartering flights to Albuquerque for the team’s appearance in the New Mexico Bowl on Dec. 21 in an effort to pack the stands with Coug fans.

According to Cougcenter.com, university officials are offering a five-question survey in order to gauge interest in a charter flight for specifically for WSU fans. The survey, found here, asks fans where, when and if they would consider taking a private flight to see the Cougars take on the Colorado State Rams on Dec. 21 in Albuquerque.

School officials floated the ideas of a charter flight when Cougar fans across the Pacific Northwest noticed that round-trip tickets from Seatac Airport to Albuquerque, NM were closing in on $1,000 apiece.

A charter flight can carry anywhere from 25 to 500 passengers, Cougcenter.com reported.
