Auburn apartment fire displaces 7 residents

Auburn FireAUBURN – 7 people made it out safely after their apartment caught fire this morning in Auburn.

Fire fighters responded to the fire in the 2200 block of O St. NE just before 3:30 a.m. Friday morning.

When they arrived, they found heavy fire showing from a first floor unit in a two-story, four-unit complex.  Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to any neighboring buildings.

All seven occupants of the complex were able to safely evacuate and are being temporarily relocated by the property manager.

Investigators are on scene attempting to determine what started the fire.
