Teen shot during hunting trip

NEWPORT, Wash. -- A 16-year-old teen teen died Friday during a hunting trip in Pend Oreille County with his family, the Yakima Herald reported.

The teen, Sergio Tinajero, was from Yakima. He was on a hunting trip with his family and was found dead from a single gunshot wound down a quarter-mile down a logging road.

Police and the Pend Oreille Sheriff's Office are investigating the incident, the Herald reported. They are asking members of the public hunting in the area on Friday to call the sheriff's office at 509-447-3151 with information on the shooting.
