Twins remembered in Oak Harbor

OAK HARBOR -- They often sang together. In fact 17-year old twins Janeah and Jenesah Goheen did nearly everything together.  On Sunday, they even had their memorial together in Oak Harbor.

"They had an amazing bond from the get-go," said Karen Tepaske, a family friend. "Rarely did I see one without the other."

The two were together, along with another friend, the night of Halloween. A car driven by 53-year old Ira Blackstock, crossed the center line, and crashed into the twin's car. Janeah died at the scene. Janesah died died 11 days later. Police said Blackstock showed signs of impairment. The other teen passenger in the car suffered a concussion.

The girls had told their family they didn't want to live without each other,  and mourners took some comfort knowing they are still together.

"If Janesah had woke up, she would have been without her harmony," said Christina Federighi, a former teacher and friend. "And Janeah was already giving singing lessons to the angels."
