Seattle gives OK to 30-story First Hill apartment

SEATTLE -- The city has approved plans for a 30-story apartment tower at 8th Ave. and Columbia St. in First Hill, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported.

The building will include 287 apartments ranging from studios to 2-bedrooms above 234 parking spaces and a 9,000-square-foot neighborhood park.

Seattle firm Weber Thompson designed the building for developer Alecta. The East Design Review Board approved plans for the tower in August. An Alecta representative told Urbnlivn the building could end up being offered as condos, depending on the market and financing among other factors.
