WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) made her point clear on the Senate floor today — a “politically-motivated bill” banning abortion is a “non-starter” in the Senate.
This came just before Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) introduced a ban championed by conservative groups that want to limit women’s reproductive health resources, nationwide.
In her speech, Murray said:
“ I’m here today to provide a simple reality check … We’re not going back. We’re not going back on settled law. We’re not going to take away a woman’s ability to make her own decisions, about her own health care and her own body.”

it is unfortunate that patty wasn't aborted. she'd sure have a different view!

Women should be able to make decisions about their bodies. But let the baby make her own decision. A baby is a human as much as the woman is. If she can't raise a child… why spread legs without being a responsible human. Use protection!!

America is a sexual culture, you can tell by the advertising, clothes people wear, music videos, endless porn, sexting, etc. etc. Getting laid is a big deal in pop culture and almost every other aspect of American life & our kids are fed this information.
The important details are missed or shunned like protection, self control, etc. I don't see this changing, it would take a huge turnaround in our culture to fix things. Until then the abortions will continue, another price for freedom.

Ah, the 'settled law' argument.
So, are they still trying to ban guns?
I can't figure out why owning firearms is bad, but killing babies is OK.

Patty is an empty and the only reason she is still in office is thanks to special interest groups, such as Planned Parenthood, America’s largest abortion provider. What Patty is advocating for is the enslavement of others for the benefit of a few. Please tell me how Democrats have changed since the days of segregation? It seems that they have simply found another group to exploit, again saying the law is on their side.
