SENTENCING UPDATE: October 10, 2014 -- Vincent Sisounong, 22, and Blessing Gainey, 20 were each sentenced to 25 years in prison on Friday. Both men pleaded guilty last month in the home invasion attack at a Kirkland residence last year. Sisounong and Gainey each pleaded guilty as charged to Attempted Murder in the First Degree and Burglary in the First Degree, with deadly weapon enhancements, for randomly breaking into a Kirkland residence and attacking an 18 year old man who was staying at his family’s home. The defendants were armed with knives when they threatened to kill the victim and then stabbed him in the legs, shoulder and head. Sisounong told detectives that he and Gainey broke into the home of complete strangers with the intent to kill. Sisounong said he wanted the victim to “fight for his life.” FUGITIVE CAPTURED October 25, 2013 -- Kirkland Police say Vincent Vinny Sisounong was arrested by Kirkland Police detectives and U.S. Marshals on Friday. WANTED IN KIRKLAND October 25, 2013 -- Kirkland police say they have identified Vincent Vinny Sisounong as the accused home invader drawn up in a sketch released Tuesday. The home targeted Saturday morning is in Kirkland's Kingsgate neighborhood. Detectives say Sisounong -- and a second suspect who's already been arrested -- forced entry into the home and attacked a 19-year-old man as he slept. The suspects dragged the man from his bed into another part of the home where they then attacked him, cutting him multiple times. The victim did not know the suspects and police do not have a motive for the break-in or attack. Police say Sisounong had a spike in his lower lip at the time of the crime, and could be armed.
