CenturyLink Athlete of the Week: Myles Barrow of O'Dea High School

SEATTLE -- The Seattle Seahawks, CenturyLink Inc. and Q13 FOX announced Friday that Myles Barrow of O'Dea High School is the Week 8 CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week.

Myles will be recognized at CenturyLink Field during the Nov. 3 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Myles, a junior at O'Dea, was selected Athlete of the Week based on his dedication to academics, community involvement, leadership and athletic performance. Myles holds a 4.0 GPA and is enrolled in all honors classes at O'Dea. He is a member of the National School of Scholars and received the Presidents Education Award for outstanding excellence. Myles takes part in fundraisers and the Light the Night walks, helping raise money and awareness for the Lymphoma/Leukemia Society. He helps tutor classmates and volunteers at the local elementary school. Myles is also a leader as a member of both the cross country and track & field teams.

As the CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week, Myles will also receive a $1,000 grant from CenturyLink and the Seahawks for his school's Associated Student Bodies (ASB) fund, in addition to media recognition, tickets and sideline passes to a Seahawks game, and a customized 2013 Seahawks jersey.
