2 suspects arrested in home-invasion robbery, assault in Kirkland

KIRKLAND – Police arrested a second suspect Friday night in the violent Oct. 12 home invasion robbery in the Kingsgate area of Kirkland in which a 19-year-old man was beaten as he slept in his home.

The second suspect, Vincent Vinny Sisounong, was taken into custody Friday night without incident and with the help of the U.S. marshals.

On Thursday, the first suspect, Blessing T. Gainey, was arrested without incident in the city of Burien. Gainey is being held on an outstanding and unrelated city of Kirkland warrant.

On Oct. 12, two suspects forced entry into the home in the 13700 block of NE 133rd Street and attacked a 19-year-old man as he slept. The suspects reportedly dragged the man from his bed into another part of the home where they then attacked him, cutting him multiple times.

The victim did not know the suspects.
