SEATTLE — The Ballard Bridge, a popular and crucial Seattle roadway, was stuck in the up position for more than an hour Friday, blocking traffic from crossing in both directions.
According to the Seattle Department of Transportation, the Ballard Bridge became stuck around 9:43 a.m. with a mechanical problem. Seattle police officers were on their way to the bridge to help reroute traffic.
The bridge was open again at around 10:50 a.m.
