Serial burglar leaves business card

MONROE -- Often times, police have to search hard for subtle clues such as torn pieces of clothing, fingerprints and tire marks to track down a serial burglar. But one Puget Sound serial burglar gave police an easy clue -- he left his business card behind at the scene of the crime.

According to charging documents, Samuel Lindsey allegedly left a black bag at the home of Monroe-area break-in that included his business card and with stolen jewelry.

Police used the card to track down Lindsey, and he was arrested and booked into Snohomish County Jail on charges of burglary and trafficking stolen property.

Lindsey is no stranger to the law, court documents state. He allegedly admitted to four burglaries in August, and his vehicle has previously been spotted with hammers, screwdrivers, pliers and other burglary equipment inside.

Lindsey has also previously tried to sell stolen items to local pawn shops.

He is being held on $50,000 bail.
