Lakewood cop shooter's accomplice appeals conviction
The getaway driver for the man who killed four Lakewood police officers is appealing his murder conviction, according to the Tacoma News Tribune.
In the original criminal case in 2011, prosecutors portrayed the accomplice of Maurice Clemmons, Dorcus Allen as someone who knew Clemmons was likely to attack police officers.
Allen, 42, was convicted of murder and sentenced to 420 years in prison.
His attorneys appealed, arguing prosecutors couldn't prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Allen knew Clemmons was on a killing mission.
