PSE giving away free refrigerators...seriously

SEATTLE -- It's a deal that may sound a little too good to be true. Puget Sound Energy is offering to replace old, inefficient refrigerators with new ones that could save customers more than $200 a year in energy costs.

Customers with a refrigerator manufactured before 1992 that's in working condition can trade it in for an energy-efficient model by Frigidaire, while supplies last. PSE will even remove and recycle the old fridge when the new one is delivered. Replacement refrigerators are a basic white, single-door, top-freezer model.
