Police make arrest in Everett shooting

EVERETT — Police arrested a 37-year-old man in connection with a shooting outside a Denny’sin Everett late Tuesday night.

Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies said the man was interviewed by Everett police detectives early Wednesday morning and booked into custody shortly after his interview. Police believe the suspect rented a room at the nearby Sunrise Inn and was selling drugs from it. He allegedly shot a 39-year-old man and stashed the revolver in a nearby dumpster before fleeing the scene.

The suspect is currently in Snohomish County Jail.

Police are still investigating the scene at the Sunrise Inn.

    I work near this motel. So much goes on there I’m not surprise there are not more killings there. I’ve seen so much stuff there I don’t think Everett police even cares. Until it shows up on Evergreen Way. I carry a weapon to go to work.
