TACOMA -- If you're a federal worker furloughed because of the government shutdown, here's something you can do that won't cost a dime.  Point Defiance Zoo and Northwest Trek Wildlife Park are offering free admission to federal employees.   The offer applies to all federal workers, including active duty military, for the duration of the shutdown.

Immediate family members of those workers are eligible for half-price admission.

Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium is the Northwest's only combined zoo and aquarium.  Northwest Trek is a 725-acre zoological park 35 miles southeast of Tacoma off State Highway 161.
