RENTON -- The Seattle Seahawks have released linebacker John Lotulelei and claimed quarterback B.J. Daniels off waivers from the San Francisco 49ers, the team announced Wednesday.

Seattle also released linebacker Jameson Konz from the practice squad and signed wide receiver Arceto Clark in his place.

Daniels was San Francisco’s first of three seventh-round draft choices (237th overall) in April’s NFL Draft and has been inactive for the first four games this season. He had played college football at the University of South Florida.

Lotulelei signed with Seattle as an undrafted rookie free agent on May 10 and played in two games, collecting two assisted tackles and one solo special teams tackle.
