Restaurant manager charged with videotaping employees in toilet

BAINBRIDGE ISLAND -- Bainbridge police arrested a restaurant manager for allegedly videotaping people using the employee bathroom.

Police arrested 47-year-old Scott Fuchs Monday of Doc's Marina Grill in the 400 block of Madison Avenue South. He was charged with one count of voyeurism and held on $25,000 bail.

An investigation into the Fucks began in August when a man found a smartphone hidden inside a black plastic bag near a toilet in the employee restroom. The video allegedly showed Fuchs placing the phone in the restroom.

Fuchs, who lives in Poulsbo, was charged with voyeurism in 2007 when he was manager of the Northwest Golf Range in Bremerton. Those charges were dropped after a judge decided a search warrant used by investigators was invalid.

According to court documents, the suspect admitted to filming employees while on the phone with his mother during a jail call.

"I guess I have a problem," court documents allege he said. "I deserve this."

Fuchs' next court date is Oct. 11.
